Asus has started a countdown to its Zenvolution event on 30 May, a day before Computex 2016 kicks off.
The Zenvolution event which will be happening in Taipei, will also be live-streamed on the Asus website.
While the site does not mention what products will be launched, the Asus and Intel branding on it is a dead giveaway. We will most like be seeing the launch of the Zenfone 3, rumours of which have already started to circulate online. The other category of product may include the ZenPad tablets. We may also see new ZenWatch and ZenBook launches.
Reports of Zenfone 3 have been doing the rounds online since last December. According to a report by Digi Times, a source had indicated that Asus was likely to adopt fingerprint recognition solutions developed by Taiwan-based Elan Microelectronics and China-based Goodix for its upcoming Zenfone 3. According to a previous report, the Asus ZenFone 3 will sport the USB Type-C ports, says CEO Jonney Shih.
Zenfone 3 image leaks have also appeared online. Considering that it has been over a year since the Zenfone 2 launch, it isn’t hard to guess that Zenfone 3 would be launched by the end of this month. It will most likely be sporting Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS along with Asus’ ZenUI OS atop it. Expect multiple variants of the Zenfone 3 though. We will find out more on 30 May.
