Gionee launches Marathon M6 with 5000mAh and M6 Plus with 6020mAh battery capacities

Gionee has launched the next generation Marathon series smartphones in the form of the M6 and M6 Plus at an even in Beijing, China today. The
Marathon M6 will come with a 5000mAh battery whereas the M6 Plus will come with a 6020mAh battery. The phones will start selling in China from 6 August.
The Marathon M6 is priced at RMB 2699 (approx Rs 28,000) for the 64GB variant and RMB 2899 (approx Rs 30,000) for the 128GB variant. The Marathon M6 Plus will set you back by RMB 2999 (approx Rs 31,000) for the 64GB and RMB 3199 (approx Rs 33,000) for the 128GB variant.
Both the smartphones come with the same set of specifications except for the battery capacities and the M6 Plus has a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display as opposed to the 5.5-inch Full HD display on the M6. So let us look at the other common specs it shares with the Marathon M6. There’s the MediaTek MT6755 SoC with 4GB of RAM. It runs Android 6.0 out of the box with Amigo 3.2 skin atop it. It comes in a dual SIM configuration.
On the camera front, you get a Sony IMX258 13MP rear camera with a 1.12 micron pixel size and an f/2.0 aperture. On the front, you get an OmniVision OV8856 8MP camera with 1.12 micron pixel size and an f/2.2 aperture.
Both the phones support a 9V/2A charging which ensures charging is fast, safe and cool according to Gionee. The Marathon M6 can also be used as a power bank.
