Sony launches Xperia XA Ultra; Mediatek Helio device





Sony India announced the launch of Xperia XA Ultra, further expanding it’s Xperia XA series.
The device will go on sale from 27 July and you can buy one for Rs 29,990. It will be available in White, Graphite Black and Lime Gold colors at launch.
Xperia XA Ultra sports a Full HD 6-inch display in a 5.5-inch form factor. The device will be powered by a 64-bit Mediatek MT6744 Helio Octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with 3GB RAM. It will run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box.
The design choices make the screen edge to edge along with a curved glass encased by metal surround to make the device feel premium. The device packs an impressive 16MP f/2.6 front camera equipped with optical image stabiliser and smart selfie flash. The rear camera is an EXMOR-RS sensor based 21MP module with an f/2.4 aperture. It will come with 16GB internal storage and expandable memory slot with support up to 200GB.
The company claims that XA Ultra will provide 2-day battery backup on a single charge, though the real life performance scenario is yet to be seen. The phone will be equipped with a 2700 mAh battery with support for quick charge for charging your device quickly. It will further include STAMINA mode to help prolong the battery life.
On the connectivity front, the phone will have a 4G enabled dual Nano SIM slot, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, NFC and micro USB 2.0 port.
