Twitter launches promoted stickers with Pepsi as partner

Twitter is introducing promoted stickers with Pepsi as its launch partner. Twitter
hadlaunched the stickers feature, towards the end of June this year. Stickers work like visual hashtags, allowing for images to be tagged with the stickers. Tapping or clicking on a sticker will take users to the sticker page, which lists all the tweets that have used that particular sticker. For its first promoted partner, Pepsi, Twitter is introducing more than 50 stickers from the global PepsiMoji campaign.

Adam Bain, Chief Operating Officer at Twitter said, “Stickers have been hugely popular with consumers, and we are thrilled to now include brands in that conversation, starting with Pepsi. Now, people around the world can all share their universal passion for Pepsi and make the brand come alive in a powerful new way on Twitter.”

Brad Jakeman, President PepsiCo Global Beverage Group said “The ‘Say It With Pepsi’ campaign has helped consumers around the world express themselves using our proprietary set of Pepsi emojis and we’re truly taking it to the next level with this partnership with Twitter. By allowing people to add our emojis directly to their photos, we’re giving fans a whole new way to engage. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a picture with Pepsi stickers can really spark a conversation.”
Promoted stickers are now available globally to select marketers who have a managed Twitter account.
