Upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer spotted while testing in Pune

American automobile maker Chevrolet is expected to bring its new-gen Trailblazer to India next year. While we are not sure about the launch date, the car was spotted in Pune
recently under heavy camouflage. Probably one of the testing units, this is a clear hint that the company is in a hurry to bring the new SUV to the country.
The car was first unveiled at the Bangkok Motor Show earlier this year. Of course the final manufacturing version is suppose to be different, but according to some of pictures of test vehicle, the overall shape seems to be the same. It will come with a big two-part grille on the front with angular headlamps.

The interiors will see the most prominent changes as the pictures also show a brand new infotainment system. Complying to new smart in-car systems, it should provide support for Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto for a connected experience. Apart from the looks, the new Trailblazer will be powered by a 2.8-litre Duramax diesel engine capable of generating 197bhp and 500Nm of torque. This will be paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The consumption of SUV automobiles has seen a exponential growth in India. Car makers have started investing heavily to cater the demands of the customers. Recently Hyundai’s compact-SUV Creta and even Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza saw an overwhelming response with booking times going up to three-four months.
