Many would know Ariel for just one thing, performance and some serious fun that comes from the Ariel Atom, a one of a kind open-wheeled car which retains just the seats and the steering wheel to get those
Bugatti-like performance figures. What many may not know is that the makers of the Ariel Atom also build bikes which is what they started off with back in 1901. After the launch of the first Ace in 2014, it is now time for another hair-raising experience with a new variant of the bike called Ace R which is expected to be showcased at Motorcycle Live at Birmingham this month. This is provided you can get your hands on one as the British mark plans to make just 10 examples of it.
Yes, PaulTan reports that Ariel Motors would only be making 10 units of the 2017 Ariel Ace R motorcycle. We aren’t too clear about how it will look, as the teaser released by Ariel simply includes a sketch of the motorcycle.

Expect a unique colour scheme and obviously with all things Ariel, better performance. The paint scheme is expected to be a one-off paint job.
If things do remain the same, with a bump up in power, expect the Ariel Ace R to feature the same trellis frame made from machined aluminium. The frame would hold a 1,237cc V-Four engine that would churn out 173Hp at 10,300rpm and 131Nm of torque.
As with the Atom and the Ace, customisation is key with every Ariel offering and the Ace R will not be any different. The owner will have access to four different seat options, 3 different types of fuel tanks to choose from. Apart from the upside down or the cooler girder fork, there are adjustable footrests, handlebars, dampers, wheels, exhausts and fairings as well.
With so much on offer, expect this beauty to be priced way above the price for the standard Ace model that starts from Rs 16,44,070.
