.
According to a new leak, HTC is going to launch a flagship smartphone very soon which will be called the HTC U 11. The company recently released a teaser for an upcoming ‘U’ smartphone, which means we will get to see the flagship on 16 May. The newest leak suggests that the name HTC U 11 has been finalized for the branding of the next flagship. This means that it will be successor to last year’s HTC 10.
The HTC U 11 will be offered in five different shades depending on the region and availability. These include white, black, blue, red, and silver.
According to previous leaks, the smartphone will come with a button-less design and feature the same ‘liquid surface’ body that was seen on the U Ultra and U Play. As for the leaked specifications, expect a 5.5-inch display with quad-HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a Snapdragon 835 chipset and two storage variants of 64 GB and 128 GB. While there is no confirmation of the RAM, it is speculated to be 4 GB or even 6 GB. The rear camera could feature a 12 MP sensor while on the front we could see a 16 MP selfie shooter. It is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with HTC Sense 9 UI. It should also come with HTC’s new virtual assistant ‘Sense Companion’ which made debut on the HTC U Ultra.
