At WWDC Apple unveiled a new and ridiculously overpowered Mac Pro. This desktop can be outfitted with up to a 28-core Intel Xeon processor running on 300 watts, and what Apple says is the world's most powerful graphics card from AMD, which can achieve a whopping 58 teraflops and 128GB of video memory using dual Radeon Pro Vega II chips. On the memory slots. You can pair with a new '6K' 32-inch monitor, which has a 6,016-by-3,384-pixel resolution.

Apple's new Mac Pro is the shiny, expensive powerhouse that pros wanted. Starting at $5,999, the most powerful Mac is staging a comeback this fall. Although it's a new design, the Mac Pro is also a throwback to Apple's classic "cheese grater" look.

The interior is structured for modularity and flexibility, addressing one of the big pain points of the outgoing Mac Pro design. It was paired up to the new $4,999 Pro Display XDR. The workflow looked pretty flawless, showing off the Pro Display XDR's HDR capabilities and high-nit brightness when it's used as the foundation for RAW photo work like this.
