Google Pixel XL 2 spotted on Geekbench; Snapdragon 835, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant confirmed


Details of the upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 have been allegedly leaked via Geekbench, the cross-platform processor benchmark website. The new Google Pixel XL 2 is expected to replace the Google Pixel XL which was released in October last year

According to Gizmochina, the specifications revealed on the Geebkbench website suggest that the Pixel XL 2 will come with Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.35 GHz processor. The phone packs an Adreno 540 graphics, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It is unlikely to accommodate an external memory slot. Pixel XL 2 is expected to have a 12 MP rear camera capable of shooting 4K resolution videos but there is no info if it will be dual-camera system. The front camera will have an 8 MP sensor and the smartphone come pre-loaded with Android O.
Ronald Quandt, a popular leakster was the first to reveal the information on his Twitter account. The tweet suggested that the Pixel XL 2 may support Gigabit Wi-Fi dual-band and Bluetooth 5.0 and also expected to support NFC connectivity.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are expected to launch in October this year. According to previous rumors the phone would be water and dust-resistant and the camera will be able to capture great pictures even in dim light. Rumors also suggest that the next Pixel won’t accommodate a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The Google Pixel came with 4 GB RAM and a 5-inch full HD display. It also featured a 12.3 MP rear and an 8 MP front camera and the whole system was powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor. On the other hand, the Pixel XL featured similar hardware expect for the larger the 5.5-inch screen and the bigger 3,450 mAH battery compared to the 2,770 mAH battery of the Pixel.
